The Golem Mage

Chapter 360 - 360

Chapter 360 - 360

Alec was flung towards a nearby tree, but he swiftly regained his footing, as blood spewing onto his armor from his mouth.

The Chimera let out a tired roar, astounded that Alec persisted with such fervour, despite how many times he had been attacked.

Yet Alec found himself strangely exhilarated by the chaos unfolding around him, As he spat blood onto his armor, he noticed strands of brown and black were intertwined along its edges.

And it jogged his memory that before the armour’s upgrade, it was a bland tricolour design.

Through the system enhancement and flaws removal, the red colour had taken precedence over the crucial sections of the armor.

However, the black and brown hues had lingered at the edges.

Alec hadn’t paid much attention to this before, Since then, all Alec could see was the crimson blur on the armour.

But now he wondered if the armor was in a sealed state, preventing him from accessing its full power until he attained the status of a Tier 3 Mage.

And perhaps some of the armour’s hidden powers were beginning to reveal themselves to him, since he has reached the pinnacle the Tier 2 realm, he observed the brown colour returning to the armour’s edges, as the black colour disappear back as if there was not enough energy to summon them.

It seemed to him that if he entered the Tier 3 mage realm, the armour’s latent power would reveal itself.

Taking a deep breath, Alec felt a surge of invigorating energy coursing through his body.

Unexplainably, his weary body began to rejuvenate, gaining newfound strength, Without checking, he realized that the option to recover stamina by drawing blood had become active.

"If the red colour was for protection, the brown colour must activate the stamina option, I suppose the black colour is responsible for the curse of drawing health,"

Alec mumbled to himself, as Titan, who had been thrown into a nearby tree, said impassively,

"Master, it’s your turn."

Alec couldn’t help but sense the sarcasm in Titan’s tone, as he had left Titan to face the Chimera alone.

"Master, let’s join you all, We would have an easier time defeating him," Butcher suggested, clutching his lighting axe and waiting for Alec’s command to attack.

"You’re not alone, Master. Get that bastard!" Titan exclaimed before being blasted back by a powerful force.

Despite being knocked back, Titan held onto the snake head and dragged the tail with him.

The Chimera was thrown off balance due to the pull on its tail, giving Alec the perfect opportunity to close in on it.

Throughout their battle, Alec and Titan had struggled to get close to the Chimera, as it always had a move that prevented them from doing so.

Their elemental attacks had proven ineffective, with the Chimera easily deflecting them with its wings. So Alec deduced that the only way to defeat the Chimera was through a physical confrontation.

"Ahhh!" Alec shouted, throwing a punch towards the Chimera.

However, the Chimera had been prepared and used its left wing to block the attack, sending Alec staggering.

It was the first time he noticed the wings had such a strong rebound effect.

Undeterred, Alec persisted, this time using both fists to pound at the wings.

He felt the impact rebounding, but he had planted his feet firmly on the ground so as not to be pushed back like before.

Still, he made no progress, However, he was expending the extra stamina energy he had stolen, so he decided to dig his claws into the wings in an attempt to draw blood.

To his surprise, the claws dug deeper than expected, and Alec could feel the gauntlet absorbing the blood like a vampire craving for it., while the Chimera let out a pained roar.

"Got you!, It seems blunt force is also rebounded by your wings, just like spells, All we had to do was try piercing them in the first place," Alec said, erupting into boisterous laughter.

Bang!!!

Several ice shards flew towards Alec, as he realized that Titan had cast another ice shield to protect him. He muttered a curse as he saw what had caused the disturbance and why Titan had been forced to cast another shield.

Through the shield failed to stop the attack, but it gave Alec some seconds, as the Chimera revealed another deadly capability.

Its free wings transformed into a blade-like shape, poised dangerously close to impaling Alec.

The Chimera demonstrated that while it could use one set of wings to cover its body for defense, the other set could be designed for offensive purposes.
