The Golem Mage

Chapter 316: The Chase ( Final ).

Chapter 316: The Chase ( Final ).

Despite having its arms severed, Titan showed no signs of pain or emotion.

Its face remained icy cold, with a steady glare in its eyes as it headbutted the Orc chief with great force.

The chief staggered back, and as he regained his footing, a sense of imminent danger washed over him.

He instinctively tilted his head to the left, narrowly avoiding Legion’s laser spear as it whizzed past his head.

"Shit, I’m going to kill you... Ahhhh!!"

The Orc chief continued his threats towards Legion, but in that very moment, he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

Thankfully, he had quickly reinforced that region with Qi and managed to hold on to whatever had caused the pain.

Otherwise, it likely would have pierced his heart by now.

He gazed at Titan, who had transformed his right hand into a large pike and impaled the area where the his armor had been previously broken by Legion.

All this time, the chief had underestimated both golems, failing to realize that they had been scheming to take him down from the beginning, even if it meant sacrificing themselves in the process.

"You little...!"

The orc chief growled, gripping Titan’s transformed hand tightly and raising his axe, intending to strike and sever Titan’s second hand in the process.

However, Titan snorted and took matters into its own hands.

Bang!!!

Titan self-destructed the hand, causing a powerful explosion that sent both of them flying.

Fortunately, Legion wgo had been ready had swiftly caught Titan, utilizing the jet boosters behind his back.

Now, Titan was left without both hands, but at least it was safe in Legion’s grasp.

Just as they thought their problems were resolved, a heavily wounded Orc chief emerged from the surrounding cloud of icy fog.

His armor appeared even more damaged now, and part of his left arm was encased in ice, hindering its movements.

However, fueled by anger and disbelief, he continued to press forward.

He couldn’t fathom being reduced to such a state by a group of Tier 2 Golems, while being a Tier 4 Orc himself.

He raised his axe high with his right hand, muscles rippling and tribal tattoos revealing themselves in their primal glory as he dashed forward to finish what he had started.

Meanwhile, Legion, carrying Titan on his shoulder, opened his left palm towards the chief’s face.

"You are so predictable!" Legion taunted.

[Special Ability - Beam Strike]

An intense beam of energy, converted from Mana, shot straight at the Orc chief, who swung his axe in an attempt to repel the attack.

However, it was too late for him to realize that advanced technological attacks couldn’t be easily deflected.

The creatures had been draining residual Mana from the corpses of the fallen Orcs and wood woads that the twins Grace and Gabriel had slain.

This granted Alec and his Clans members enough Mana to trigger the frightening explosions.

After successfully casting the sandstorm, Alec, Agnes, and Knight set off running, occasionally utilizing the earth element to assist their movements.

At one point, Alec considered asking Knight to employ the shadow element to swiftly transport them further.

However, they quickly realized that the unpredictable earth energies in the air nullified any other elements once they were activated.

So, their options were limited to relying on their physical abilities or utilizing the earth element for assistance.

Alec eventually had to stop and give Agnes a piggyback ride, as she was arguably the slowest among them.

And With his strength stats exceeding a hundred, he was capable of carrying her while still being able to endure.

They ran for their lives as the sandstorm ripped through the army that was previously in pursuit.

The Root had managed to avoid being caught in the midst of the sandstorm, having noticed Alec’s movements just before the explosion occurred.

However, its newfound plant army was not exempt from the chaos.

Some of the plant soldiers were forcefully hurled into the sky, crashing back down in a different region. Only a few managed to survive the fall.

While most of the Orcs struggled with respiratory issues, their breathing hindered by the overwhelming amounts of sand they had inhaled, many succumbed to the lack of oxygen and perished.

Those who did survive the sandstorm quickly diverted their attention to their chief’s injured body, carrying him away.

They abandoned any pursuit of Alec’s group, realizing that their chief still clung to a faint thread of life.

Alec was surprised by the Orc chief’s determination to survive, as his intentions had been to kill him with all the planning, riding himself from any future problems if he wanted to mine the Nature Low Power Mine in future.

But The Tier 4 Orc’s resilience was truly remarkable.

Unable to push through the raging sandstorm, the Root clenched his teeth and commanded a retreat.

He had already lost countless plant soldiers, and losing more in this battle would diminish his credibility.

And Gathering his forces in an easy manner in the future would not be possible and this was not what it desired.

the Root harbored a deep grudge against Alec and planned to repay him once they met again.

However, it had decided to focus on regaining his actual Tier 6 strength before taking any action.

--

Meanwhile The Tier 6 captain Mage stationed at the city gate was taken aback by the turn of events.

The battle had proceeded with remarkable organization, allowing Alec and gang to pursue the second-dimensional creature army without the aid of the sentries.

It was quite astounding to witness the level of coordination displayed by Alec and his group.

It felt as though he was observing a young and skilled general leading his Legion.

Fortunately, Alec and his group encountered no further obstacles as they made their way to the city gate. After the chaos settled, they regrouped at the gate and entered the city together.
